Pre & after care are extremely important when it comes to PMU. Keep reading to find out what you must know before coming in & after the procedure! 

PRE-CARE

Powder Brows

  • Do not pick/tweeze/wax/tint/dye/laminate/perform electrolysis for at least 14 days before your appointment
  • Do not tan at least 14 days prior or have a sunburned face
  • Do not have any type of facial/peel/laser treatment on your face for at least 30 days before your appointment
  • No Botox/Dysport 2 weeks prior to your eyebrow appointment
  • Do not drink alcohol 24 - 48 hours before the procedure
  • Do not consume any caffeine 24 hours before your procedure
  • Do not take Aspirin or Ibuprofen for pain relief 24 hours prior to your appointment
  • No antibiotics or steroids for 30 days before your appointment
  • Discontinue Vitamin A/Retinol (skincare & supplements) products 30 days prior to treatment
  • Come a week before or after your menstrual cycle for less discomfort
  • Eat before your appointment, don’t come in hungry so you feel more relaxed
  • Bring a light sweater or blanket if you get cold easily

POST-CARE
  • A complimentary aftercare kit with all the necessary products will be provided
  • Do not touch your eyebrows the first 3-4 hoursWash eyebrows with soap provided the first night only and again next morning
  • No ointment should be applied on eyebrows for the first 24 hours
  • Starting the next day, apply a grain of rice size amount of ointment on eyebrows once daily for 14 days.
  • If you have an oily skin type, no ointment should be applied, just dry healing for 14 days
  • No more direct water on eyebrows from now on for 14 days(You will be given the water protective shower visors to make this process easier)
  • Absolutely no sweating for 14 days
  • Botox/Fillers near the eyebrow area can be done after 14 days too
  • No steam such as long hot showers, baths, hot tubs, saunas, etc for 14 days
  • No facials/massages with face down for 14 days.* No sun exposure/tanning for 30 days
  • Try your best to sleep on your back the first 14 days
  • Do not pick the scabs
  • On day 15 wash eyebrows with the same soap to remove any remaining scabs
  • Start using your regular skincare & SPF over eyebrow area (as long as it doesn’t contain any Retinols/Acids/Lightening or Exfoliating ingredients)
  • It is OK to get brows wet again, sweat, fill them in with makeup, and fake tan after 14 days

PRE-CARE

Lip Blushing

  • Exfoliate lips 24 hours prior to your appointment
  • Keep lips moisturized by applying lip balm daily prior to your appointment
  • If you EVER had cold sores on your lips, you MUST get a prescription antiviral medication from your physician and start taking it 24 hours before your lip appointment
  • No lip fillers 4 - 6 weeks prior to your lip appointment
  • Do not drink alcohol 24 - 48 hours before the procedure
  • Do not consume any caffeine 24 hours before your procedure
  • Do not take Aspirin or Ibuprofen for pain relief 24 hours before the procedure
  • No antibiotics or steroids for 30 days before your appointment
  • Bring Lip colors you use the most for the color references
  • Come a week before or after your menstrual cycle for less discomfort
  • Eat before your appointment, don’t come in hungry so you feel more relaxed
  • Bring a light sweater or blanket if you get cold easily
  • Discuss any medical conditions or medications you are taking with your artist before the appointment
POST-CARE
  • A complimentary aftercare kit will be provided.
  • NO OINTMENT ON THE LIPS FOR THE FIRST 24 HOURS.
  • After the procedure dab lips with a new antiseptic wipe every 1-2 hours until bedtime.
  • Try not to eat for at least 5 hours after the procedure to reduce risk of infection.

DAY 1:

  •  In the morning wash lips with room temperature water to remove any overnight lymph buildup. Apply a very thin layer of ointment provided. Just ONCE!
DAY 2:
  • Apply a very thin layer of ointment provided 2 times per day only! Gently wipe down the lips with an antiseptic wipe once or twice a day
DAY 3 - 7:
  • Can apply a very thin layer of ointment 3 x day now
  • Do not pick, peel or pull on the peeling skin
  • No kissing/oral sex the first 3 days
  • Do not eat spicy, oily, acidic, or greasy foods, drink through the straw the first 3 days
  • Try to sleep on your back the first 3 nights
  • No lip products should be applied on lips for the first 7 days
  • No soaps/chemicals on lips during the first 7 days
  • Do not expose lips to direct sunlight or tanning beds for 30 days
  • Keep your hands clean and avoid touching your lips until they are done healing
  •  If you get a cold sore on your lips, contact your doctor immediately to avoid the infection complications
