Pregnancy or breastfeeding: It is not recommended to get permanent makeup done during pregnancy or while breastfeeding as the effects of the pigment on the developing fetus or nursing baby are unknown. Must wait 3-6 months after delivery &/or 3-6 months after nursing to schedule. harvesting eggs or trying to get pregnant. (No Exceptions)
Heart Conditions/Pacemaker/Defibrillator (No exceptions)
If you are any of these medications, you will bleed and the pigment WILL NOT retain:
Triflusal (Disgren)
Clopidogrel (Plavix)
Prasugrel (Effient)
Ticagrelor (Brilinta)
Ticlopidine (Ticlid)
Cilostazol (Pletal)
Vorapaxar (Zontivity)
Dipyridamole (Persantine
Coumadin
Pradaxa (dabigatran)
Xarelto (rivaroxaban)
Eliquis (apixaban)
Savaysa (edoxaban)
If you suffer from or have any of the following:
Alopecia Areata (Hair loss due to autoimmune disease)
Trichotillomania (Compulsive pulling of body hair) (Due to constant pulling, scar tissue is prominent and pigment will not heal properly)
Shingles-Now or ever (No exceptions)
Skin conditions: Certain skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, and acne can affect the healing process of the tattoo and may cause complications.
Retin-A/Retinol use or Vitamin A Oral Supplements (Must stop use 30 days before the procedure)
Hemophilia-Bleeding Disorder (No exceptions)
Platelet Disorders-Aggregation Disorders. An aggregation disorder is when platelets do not bind with fibrinogen and other proteins in order to stick to other platelets. As a result, the platelets cannot form a plug to stop the bleeding from a damaged blood vessel.
Moles/raised areas in or around the brow area (Pigment will not be put into anything raised. Same goes for pimples)
Piercing in the brow area (Scars can cause the pigment to migrate)
Deep wrinkles in the brow area (Pigment will not lay properly in the creases, giving the brow an uneven look)
Hair transplant for your eyebrows (Pigment will not take in the scar tissue where the plugs were placed)
Thyroid conditions (Hypo, HyperThyroidism – pigment might not retain or may fade faster. No additional touch-ups will be performed earlier than 12 months from last procedure to avoid skin trauma if it happens; Graves Disease, Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis
On Accutane (acne medicine) within the last 12 months (No exceptions)
AutoImmune Disorder of any kind (Multiple sclerosis, Rheumatoid arthritis, Lupus, Type 1 Diabetes or the like)
Cancer of any kind or if you had chemotherapy/radiation within the last 6 months
MRSA
Extremely Thin skin (Transparent or Translucent or very vascular)
Blood thinners: If you are taking blood thinning medications such as aspirin, warfarin, or heparin, you may be at a higher risk of bleeding during the procedure and may not be a good candidate for permanent makeup.
Allergies: If you are allergic to any of the ingredients in the pigments or numbing creams used during the procedure, you may experience an allergic reaction.
Blood-borne diseases: If you have a blood-borne disease such as hepatitis B or C or HIV, you are not a candidate for permanent makeup.
Keloid scarring: If you have a tendency to develop keloid scars, you may not be a good candidate for permanent makeup.
Recent surgeries: If you have had surgery in the area where the permanent makeup will be applied, you may need to wait until the area has fully healed before undergoing the procedure.
Botox or fillers: If you have recently had Botox or fillers injected in the area where the permanent makeup will be applied, you may need to wait until the effects have worn off before undergoing the procedure. (No Botox/Dysport 2 weeks prior to your appointment)
